Pre-requisites:
No Experience necessary

Class material includes:

  • Short repetitive exercises 

  • Understanding basic arm and feet positions

  • Understanding the use of feet, inner thighs, and body alignment

Exercises include: Plies, Tendus, Glisses, Rond De Jambes, Port de Bras, Temps Lie, Combination of 2 sets of 8 per month


2. Beginner II

MON 7 PM•WED 6 PM, 8 PM•60 MINS

40 mins Barre + 20 mins Center with short choreography (Changes monthly)

Pre-requisites:
3 months of Ballet Foundation Background preferable

Class material includes

  • Short repetitive exercises 

  • Strengthening inner thighs 

  • Finding articulation in feet and strength in back and arms

  • Building on further understanding body alignment 

Exercises include: Plies, Tendus, Glisses, Rond De Jambes, Developpes, Grand Battements, Port de Bras, Petite Allegros, Combination of 3-4 sets of 8 per month


3. Intermediate

WED 7 PM•60 MINS

35 mins Barre + 25 mins Center with short choreography (Changes monthly)

Pre-requisites:
12 months of Ballet Beginner preferable

Class material includes

  • Longer exercises 

  • Strengthening body awareness and coordination 

  • Finding greater freedom and fluidity of movement

Exercises include: Plies, Tendus, Glisses and Jetes, Rond De Jambes, Adage, Grand Battements, Port de Bras, Pas de Bourree Piques, Sur le Cou de Pied, Medium and Grand Allegros, Combination of 4-6 sets of 8 per month


4. Advanced

SAT 5.30 PM - 7 PM•90 MINS

50 mins Barre + 40 mins Center with short choreography (Changes monthly)

Pre-requisites:
At least 5 years of dance experience at Intermediate or RAD Intermediate

Class material includes

  • Longer exercises 

  • Increased technical difficulty

  • Pointe work

Exercises include: Plies, Tendus, Jetes, Rond De Jambes and Adage, Grand Battements, Port de Bras, Adage, Allegros, Combination


RAD Examination Syllabus for Adults

12 LESSONS PER TERM | $340 - $500

This class is for those who enjoy a set syllabus to work on for a year and consistent learning. You can consider taking examinations (March-April of every year) as well.

Currently we are running Grade 4 Saturdays 10-11am, Intermediate Vocational Thursdays 8-9pm, and Advanced Foundation Vocational Sundays 12-2pm Exams for adults. Feel free to check in with us for the grades that would best suit you.

RAD Examination syllabus classes run as a term package (12 lessons per term), no drop-ins allowed. Trial classes available at $20 for the trainer to assess suitability.
From October to March (6months), in preparation for the RAD Exam, students will have to take 2 classes per week.

Pre-requisites:
At least 6 months of Ballet Beginner Background

Attire: Please wear ballet attire and ballet shoes. Long hair must be neatly groomed in a tight bun. Short hair may be pulled away from the face.

Pro-rating is available should you start mid-term. Please refer to our Term Calendar under ‘Schedule’

 

The timeless elegance of the ballet dance form is the core of our dance curriculum. Commonly known as the best foundation for all dance forms, it improves posture, balance, and a dancer’s overall body strength, while developing a strong sense of style and grace.


Our Ballet open classes are split into 4 levels: Beginner I, Beginner II, Intermediate and Open Advanced Class.


Students will get a clip of their choreography after every class to practise at home and track their progress.

Attire: Please wear ballet/fitness attire and ballet shoes/socks. Long hair must be neatly groomed in a tight bun. Short hair may be pulled away from the face.
